Manual Score Adjustments

How operators can apply additional points or wins to a team after scores are entered — common uses, adjustment types, and how they affect match results.

Manual Score Adjustments

What Are Manual Score Adjustments?

Manual score adjustments let an operator add (or subtract) points, games won, or rounds won to a team after scores have been entered. The adjustment is applied on top of the calculated totals from the scoresheet and can flip the match result when large enough.

Common uses include:

Enabling Adjustments

Manual adjustments are configured in the Scoresheet Builder under Team Statistics. Two independent switches control which types of adjustments are available:

SwitchLabel in builderWhat it enables
additionalWinsAdditional WinsLets an operator adjust games won or rounds won (depending on ranking mode).
additionalPointsAdditional PointsLets an operator adjust the points total directly.

You can enable either switch on its own or both together. When neither is enabled the Manual Adjustments option does not appear during score entry.

Applying an Adjustment

The Manual Adjustments option is available to operators only and appears in the options menu (⋮) on the scoresheet. It is not visible to captains or players.

  1. Open the options menu on the scoresheet.
  2. Select Manual Adjustments.
  3. Enter the amount you want to add or subtract for each team. Use a negative number to subtract. Zero means no change.
  4. Click Apply Adjustments.

The adjustment is saved to the scoresheet immediately and the totals are recalculated. You can re-open the dialog at any time to see the current values or change them.

Which Fields Appear in the Dialog

The fields shown depend on which adjustments are enabled in the builder and how the scoresheet is configured to rank teams:

Ranking modeadditionalWins enabledadditionalPoints enabledFields shown
PointsYesPoints adjustment
GamesYesGames Won adjustment, also-adjust-played toggle
RoundsYesRounds Won adjustment, also-adjust-played toggle

If the adjustment type required for your ranking mode is not enabled in the builder, no input fields will appear even though the dialog is open. Enable the correct switch in the Scoresheet Builder first.

"Also Adjust Played" Toggle

For games-won and rounds-won adjustments, a checkbox lets you automatically increase the played count by the same amount as the won count. This is recommended for forfeits, where you typically want both "played" and "won" to go up together so that averages and percentages remain accurate.

Leave the toggle off if you only want to credit wins without changing the played total (for example, when recording a bonus win that was not a regularly scheduled game).

How Adjustments Affect the Final Score

Adjustments are applied before the overall match result is determined. This means:

The adjustment is shown in a "Manual Adjustments" row in the scoreboard whenever a non-zero value has been entered, so spectators and captains can see that a correction was made.

Removing an Adjustment

Open the Manual Adjustments dialog again and set both teams' values back to 0, then click Apply Adjustments. This clears the adjustment and restores the calculated totals.

Common Questions

Who can apply manual adjustments? Operators only. Captains and players do not see the option.

Are adjustments saved when I save the match? Yes. The adjustment values are stored with the scoresheet and persist through page refreshes and re-opens.

Can I apply a negative adjustment? Yes. Enter a negative number to subtract from a team's total. You can use this to deduct points or wins as a penalty.

Does the adjustment affect individual round scores? No. Adjustments are applied to the match totals only. Individual round scores and the round-by-round breakdown are unchanged.

What if I change a player's scores after applying an adjustment? The adjustment is preserved. When totals are recalculated after a score change, the stored adjustment values are re-applied on top of the new calculated totals.
